Part I: Express why you want to spend next summer in Israel on a Nesiya program.

Part II: Respond to one or two of the four topics listed below.

1.       Describe some of your interests and activities in and out of school, and why they are important to you.

2.       Describe the role Judaism plays in your life. Feel free to discuss positive or negative Jewish experiences.

3.       Describe a work of culture that moved you – a book, a movie, artwork, a piece of music, or any other cultural expression or event – and explain why.

4.       Describe a real or imaginary experience of interacting with Jewish people whose background and observances are very different from your own. What aspects of these experiences do you find meaningful or challenging?
