About Financial Aid

Nesiya provides various types of financial assistance.

Early Application Fellowship: The first type of award is the Early Application Fellowship, based on the date of application submission. There are THREE Early Application Deadlines:

If your application is postmarked by December 3, 2007, you can qualify for a $500 Early Application Fellowship.
If your application is postmarked by February 4, 2008, you can qualify for a $350 Early Application Fellowship.
If your application is postmarked by March 17, 2008, you can qualify for a $250 Early Application Fellowship.

Need-based Financial Aid: The second type of financial assistance is need based. In order to qualify for need-based financial assistance, submit a completed financial aid form with your application.  Click here to download the 2008 Financial Aid form. Financial aid is awarded on a rolling basis, so we recommend applying early to ensure the availability of necessary funding. Nesiya also encourages families to look locally for funding from synagogues, Jewish Community Centers and Jewish Federations, in addition to seeking assistance from Nesiya. Please contact us to help you identify sources of funding in your community.

All early application fellowships and up to $1500 of need-based financial aid awarded by The Nesiya Institute take the form of a fellowship award, providing financial support towards your summer in Israel. By accepting a fellowship, participants agree, with the support of their parents, to fulfill a series of volunteer, study, and enrichment activities upon their return home. Fellowship activities are flexible and may include speaking about the summer, attending the Nesiya Winter Retreat doing community service, or other activities that build on your experiences in Israel. If fellowship obligations are not completed in the agreed time, parents assume responsibility for repaying The Nesiya Institute.

This award is available to a limited number of participants based on the submission of the Community Fellows Award Application.  To learn more about this merit-based financial assistance option, please click here.
