Cardin School Updates

December 18, 2006 - Arrival

Shalom Cardin parents,

They've arrived!!!! After months of anticipation and many long hours on an airplane, your children have made it to Israel. Upon their arrival in Israel, the group was welcomed by their staff. Despite the tiredness expected after a long flight, they seem happy to be here and eager to begin their nesiya (journey) together.

The group is now headed south, towards Har HaNegev, a base on the edge of the Ramon Crater, also known as the 'Grand Canyon’ of Israel. Tomorrow they’ll begin their desert experience by examining the Lech Lecha Torah text, in which God commands Abraham to leave his home to begin a journey into the wilderness. . .

Please note that as of tomorrow afternoon the group will be hiking in the mountains of Eilat. Consequently, they may not have cellular phone reception until Friday afternoon (Israel time). Please do not be concerned if you cannot contact your child until then.

The Cardin and Nesiya staff look forward to updating you about your children's adventures as they continue.

Chag Sameach,
Mollie Brody
