Cultural Experiences and Arts Workshops

Nesiya programs include unique cultural experiences, arts exercises and arts workshops in different media, ranging in length from a few hours to two days. There is usually a several day period at the end of the program for preparation and presentation of personal projects, during which students work with their staff and professional arts educators to develop and create their projects. These art activities provide invaluable opportunities for students to reflect upon and explore the personal significance of their experiences, and to heighten their awareness of how they are creating their own path in Jewish life. No arts background is required for students to benefit from as well as contribute to the vitality and relevance of these experiences.

Because that's what Nesiya is about: seeing. Seeing the Jewish people in its gorgeous array of colors. Seeing Jewish texts in their deep, deep layers. And seeing oneself with a new dynamism and an enriched sense of wonder.
