Free Time and Home Hospitality Experiences
Each day, there will be an average of 1.5 hours allotted for free time during
the afternoon or early evening hours. During this time, students will be required
to stay within the boundaries of the base, unless they have arranged to be off-base
with a staff member, or have checked out of the program for a visit with family
or friends (as arranged in advance with the Nesiya office).
The school can elect what kind of home hospitality experience it wishes Nesiya to conduct, whether with the friends and families of its students, Israeli peers from a specific community, or both. Nesiya can also place those students who do not have family or friends in Israel with appropriate Israeli families. During all home hospitality experiences, students are expected to adhere to strict safety and security guidelines, a copy of which must be signed by hosts prior to the students' visit.
Home hospitality experiences are organized and conducted according to strict rules regarding how a participant travels to and from the program, and include a double confirmation procedure for making sure each family host is appropriate and ready to fulfill their responsibilities to students, the program, and the school.

“We cannot thank Jake's Israeli hosts enough for
opening their home and hearts to Jake. They have truly created for him a welcome
second home.”
