Nesiya: Israel Programs for Israeli and American Teens
Support Nesiya Israel Programs

Support Nesiya

Nesiya's creative leadership programs for American and Israeli young people are supported largely by donations from private individuals, including many dedicated alumni and their parents. We invite you to invest in Nesiya programs that build relationships and explore differences among diverse Jewish young people in order to develop leaders and invigorate Jewish life.

Most of the contributions to Nesiya are dedicated to providing scholarship support for North American and Israeli young people to participate in Nesiya programs. Every North American and Israeli who receives financial support agrees to fulfill follow-up enrichment, leadership, and service activities in their home communities.

Challenge Grant Announcement

We are pleased to announce the renewal of a $40,000 challenge grant* that has been generously offered by an anonymous donor.

The goal of this challenge grant is to help Nesiya continue to expand our base of supporters and increase annual scholarship resources.

According to the terms of the challenge grant, every $1,000 in total funds contributed together by Nesiya alumni will be matched by an additional $1,000. Gifts of every amount are greatly appreciated.

In addition, individual gifts of $1,000 or more will be matched by an additional $1,000.

The deadline for meeting this challenge is December 31, 2008.

* According to the terms of the challenge grant, the amount of matching funds is based on the annual increase in the number of gifts of $1,000 or more, including the sum total of alumni gifts of any size.

If you would like to make a contribution you can do so by sending check to the Nesiya office or by making an online donation:

Volunteer Time

Throughout the year, there are many opportunities for alumni to help Nesiya recruit passionate, creative, and talented young people to participate in Nesiya summer programs. These opportunities include:

Speaking with prospective summer participants by phone or email to share with them your perspective on Nesiya

Staffing Nesiya tables at Israel and summer program fairs

Hosting an open house for prospective participants and their families

Writing about your Nesiya experience for our marketing and recruitment materials

Speaking about Nesiya at local events

We greatly appreciate those alumni who volunteer their time and energy to help Nesiya build and grow our high quality programs in Israel and North America.

If you are interested in contributing in one of these ways, please contact Julie Lake, US Director of Recruitment and Community Outreach, at julie@nesiya.org or 212-951-7128.

Nesiya has given me a model which I hope to be able to carry on and give to other people.
