Employment Opportunities: Job Description Counselor-Educators and Head Counselor-Educators will: • Spend six weeks living full-time and traveling throughout Israel with a group of North American and Israeli high school students • Care for the physical, emotional and social welfare of participants • Work with senior staff to develop, implement, and facilitate educational and social programming • Commit to intensive staff dynamic work as part of a team of counselor-educators Qualifications • Prior experience working with high school students • Interest in Judaism and Jewish and Israeli culture • Desire to work with American and Israeli participants and staff from highly diverse backgrounds • Excellent interpersonal skills • Strong commitment to team work and willingness to invest in staff dynamic • Creativity, humility, respect for others and desire to learn • Bachelors degree or the equivalent • Fluent English required, strong Hebrew a plus Program Dates We are currently seeking candidates for Nesiya's six-week summer program in Israel: • Monday, July 2 - Monday, August 13, 2012 The positions will involve significant part-time work in Israel before and after the program for training, curriculum development, and post-summer assessment, including an intensive staff training program during May and June. Ideal candidates will be available for ongoing staffing with Nesiya.
